The Suction Series Strainer promotes a compact design with multiple configurations to fit the exact end use application. The Standard Suction Strainer has a molded PVC Body and 304 Stainless Screen. A Black Nylon Body with 304 Stainless Screen is available. PVC Suction Strainers have a Female Friction Fit and are called out according to the size of a Female NPT fitting. Nylon Suction Strainers have a true threaded Female NPT connection.
Applications:
Suction strainer elements are only intended to protect hydraulic pumps against catastrophic failure caused by coarse contaminants. Suction strainer elements should be inspected and cleaned regularly. Suction strainer elements should not be used as the only filtration elements in a hydraulic system. Pressure filters and return line filters, with reasonable dirt holding capacity, must be installed to provide protection against component damage caused by fine contaminants.
